This concert will open the 2017 Talking Music Series conference centered around the Defiant Requiem and its legacy. Join us for a William S. Newman Artists Series concert featuring Christine Wilkie Bohlman, piano, Philip V. Bohlman, narrator, and UNC music faculty. There will be music by Debussy, Dessau, Kon, Prokofiev, Reger, Stravinsky, and Ullmann. General admission is $10 ($5 for students and UNC faculty/staff).

Come for an evening of music from the French Baroque featuring performances by UNC faculty members. Professors Marc Callahan (bass-baritone), Nicholas DiEugenio (baroque violin), Brent Wissick (viola da gamba), Lindsay Leach-Sparks (baroque flute), and guest Elaine Funaro (harpsichord) will perform works by Marais, Destouches and Lully, and featuring Rameau's exquisitely tempestuous cantate Thétis.
