Charanga is traditionally associated with danzón, a musical and dance style with roots in European classical and Afro-Cuban music. Sophia Maria Andricopulos, a 2nd-year graduate student, worked with music from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries relating to baseball, including materials from the Music Division’s Gershwin Collection and Danny Kaye Collection.
