UNC Opera presents Meredith Monk's Atlas (1991). An opera in 3 acts, written for 18 voices and small chamber orchestra. The opera is loosely based on the life and writings of Alexandra David-Néel, and includes wordless songs and text in Mandarin Chinese and English.
