Dr. Briscoe is professor emeritus of music at Butler University in Indianapolis. He has published several studies of Debussy, the subject of his dissertation. He has also researched women composers, publishing several journal articles as well as a Contemporary Anthology of Music by Woman through Indiana University Press.
