Come Celebrate with the NCJRO
The North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra will celebrate its 25th anniversary season in 2018-2019. Jim Ketch, Director of Jazz Studies at Carolina serves as Music Director of the Orchestra. The orchestra features other UNC faculty members including Michael Kris, bass trombone; Aaron Hill, alto saxophone; Ed Paolantonio, piano; and Jason Foureman, bass. The orchestra has produced three compact disc recordings and two shows for North Carolina Public Television. The NCJRO has shared the stage with many notable jazz artists including Branford Marsalis, John Pizzarelli, Rene Marie, Marcus Roberts, Slide Hampton, Buron Stripling, Mark Tucker, and many others.
