MUSC 381, “Inside the Song: Analysis of Songcraft”
Music 381, “Inside the Song: Analysis of Songcraft”, dives into the traditions of songwriting in the 20th and 21st century, then lets students put theory into practice by honing their own songwriting craft. This new course expands on opportunities to study songwriting in the Creative Writing program by adding a Music Department perspective. The course is open to students in any major. It counts as 3 credits towards graduation and fulfills the General Education requirements of Visual and Performing Arts.
Watch for the public performance at the end of the semester, with original songs from everyone in the class!
