Ben Robinson

Hey Tar Heels! My name is Ben Robinson and I am a sophomore from Hillsborough, NC majoring in Music Education. I am currently the second trumpeter (soloist chair) of the Jazz Band, lead our top jazz combo, and participate in the UNC Wind Ensemble, trumpet studio, and other chamber groups. Additionally, I am working with the Jazz Department library, organizing the UNC jazz band and N.C. Jazz Repertoire Orchestra charts in the music library. I also facilitate set-up/tear-down for concerts and planning for other concert logistics. Outside of the UNC music department, I am on staff with the Panther Creek High School marching band team helping them through their season as a brass tech. I also perform for various events: Recorded with a professional jazz band for the release of Trumpeter Mike Gillespie’s original charts, performed at local churches and restaurants. I am also involved in on-campus ministries including: RUF and College Collective with the bible church. In my free time, I love to read, watch movies, play card/board games, attend concerts, and spend time with friends and family. But more importantly watching the boys beat dook!!! Rah! Rah! Rah!
