Yoga for Musicians

An event every week that begins at 5:30pm on Wednesday, repeating until December 7, 2016
Become a better musician through the practice of yoga.
Increase awareness of how you use your body to develop ease of movement, useful posture, and strategies for avoiding injury. Play with greater expression and greater access to your body’s innate musical ability, and develop healthy approaches to becoming a life-long musician.
Through weekly mindfulness practice, you will learn practical techniques to counter performance jitters and anxiety. Through practices of breathing you will increase your stamina, concentration, and enjoyment of music.
All yoga mats and props are provided. Wear clothes that provide ease of movement.
Free and open to all UNC students, faculty, and staff.
Open to all levels of previous experience with yoga.
