Ordo Virtutum (1151) by Hildegard von Bingen
A soul that must cross the threshold to walk among the blistering sins of the flesh—where are her knights? Who are those fierce warriors that appear like clouds to save her from despair? These are the visions of Hildegard von Bingen. Known as Saint Hildegard and Sibyl of the Rhine, she was a German Benedictine abbess and polymath, prolific writer, composer, philosopher, mystic, visionary, medical writer, and feminist during the High Middle Ages.
Seating is available for 80 attendees. Running time: 40 minutes.
This performance is a special preview of the performances that will take place at the Contemporary Art Museum Raleigh on April 16th at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 PM. Click here for more details on the CAM Raleigh performances.
