Faculty Recital: Brent Wissick and Elaine Funaro

UNC Music’s own Brent Wissick, viola da gamba, accompanied by Elaine Funaro, harpischord, will perform in Person Recital Hall. This recital is free and open to the public.
Brent Wissick has taught cello, viola da gamba, and chamber music at UNC since 1982. A member of Ensemble Chanterelle and principal cellist of the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, he is also a frequent guest with American Bach Soloists, Folger Consort, Boston Early Music Festival, Concert Royal, Dallas Bach Society, Vancouver Early Music Festival and Collegio di Musica Sacra in Poland
Elaine Funaro is one of the foremost proponents of the harpsichord for the 21st century. In addition to receiving wide acclaim for her performances across a broad repertoire that ranges from the baroque to the modern day, she is one of the key figures in helping create a new, modern repertoire for the instrument.
