Students working toward the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music or Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degrees have the option to pursue one or more areas of emphasis in their musical studies. These emphases identify recommended course selections for students who have interests in one or more areas. We suggest nine hours of study for the B.A. degree and twelve for the B.M., but students are free to take additional credits.
