The Department of Music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Lecturer of Saxophone who will teach classical saxophone lessons to undergraduate majors, minors, and non-majors.
This person will teach individual lessons to 4-12 students weekly as well as direct a weekly studio class during which all saxophone students will meet together. The saxophone instructor is expected to respond to current and prospective students regarding recruiting and teaching. In addition, there may be opportunities to coach a student saxophone quartet. The candidate should have experience teaching private saxophone, preferably at a college level. This is a part-time position with a proposed start date of July 1, 2022.
