MUSC 296: Special Studies for Undergraduates
This course is what you make it! Special Studies is available only to music majors by permission of the director of undergraduate studies, Professor Tonu Kalam. This course is designed to be an intensive study on a particular topic under faculty supervision. Those interested in a particular topic of musical study should approach the appropriate faculty member and Professor Kalam to find out more about this opportunity.
MUSC 296 fulfills the EE- Mentored Research general education requirement and counts as 1-3 credits toward graduation upon successful completion. The number of credits given depends on the topic and discretion of the faculty mentor and director of undergraduate studies. Students may repeat MUSC 296 for credit, but a maximum of 6 credit hours will be given.
