It’s every musician’s dream to be recognized for their work and win something as big as a Grammy Award. In 2017 Lucas Meachem did just that.

Los Angeles Opera recorded (live) their 2015 production of John Corigliano’s acclaimed opera Ghosts of Versailles. The production and recording featured world-class stars such as Patricia Racette as Marie Antoinette, baritone Christopher Maltman as Beaumarchais, Patti LuPone as Samira and of course, baritone Lucas Meachem as Figaro. This recording on Pentatone label’s American Opera series was the world premiere recording of Corigliano’s work, and won 2 Grammy Awards for Best Opera Recording and Best Engineered Album, Classical.
