Paul Kantor, violin

The Department of Music is excited for the 2019 Richard Luby Violin Symposium, an annual workshop named in honor of the founder of the workshop. This year marks the Symposium’s 12th Anniversary.

We are thrilled to welcome violinist Paul Kantor, the Sallie Shepherd Professor of Violin at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, as the 2019 Luby Symposium Guest Artist. A master teacher and celebrated violinist, Mr. Kantor will present a recital and masterclass with the pianist Virginia Weckstrom as the keynote series of the 2019 Symposium.

The symposium runs from May 20-26, 2019, and events are free and open to the public.
