The Music Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is searching for a banjo teacher to teach lessons and participate with the Bluegrass Initiative. This is a part-time faculty position that will start August 2017.

The Bluegrass Initiative, launched by the Music Department in 2016, includes the Carolina Bluegrass Band, academic courses, symposia, and performances.

The banjo instructor will provide individual instruction for students who register for lessons. The instructor will also collaborate with other faculty to plan masterclasses and events.
