Events

The UNC Music Department boasts over 100 events from a wide variety of genres each year and each are sure to invigorate and enlighten all audiences. The Department is home to series and festivals such as the William S. Newman Artists Series, Scholarship Benefit Series, Talking Music Series, Conversations in Modern Music, Carolina Jazz Festival, and Carolina Symposia in Music and Culture. Performances are given by students and faculty, and the department also hosts many guest artists and speakers from around the world. Most events are free and open to the public.
