Percussion Ensemble

by admin-oasis last modified 2007-05-14 16:12

The UNC Percussion Ensemble performs a wide variety of twentieth century music and premieres at least one new work for percussion each year. The ensemble draws upon a large family of pitched and non-pitched instruments and the number of players and the amount of equipment varies greatly from piece to piece. Music is chosen to match the abilities and interest of the ensemble members. Membership is open to all University students. Interested students should contact Lynn Glassock (room 110, Hill Hall) sometime between registration and the end of the first week of classes. The Percussion Ensemble meets from 12:30 to 1:45 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
