Edna Landau retired recently as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of IMG Artists and has been with them since its inception. She has guided the careers of some of today's leading instrumentalists and conductors while also identifying and nurturing young superstars of tomorrow. During the course of her tenure, IMG Artists grew from an office of four employees in New York to become the world's leading performing arts management with offices around the globe and diverse lines of business serving a much admired roster of artists. Her style, grace and integrity have enhanced IMG Artists' reputation and greatly contributed to attracting some of the industry's most gifted and talented professionals to the company. Her contributions were highlighted by New York Magazine in May 2006 in their "Influentials" issue, calling her the "intensely coveted, hugely devoted grand dame of New York concert managers, who inspires a rare level of trust and commitment from her clients and has unparalleled star-making and talent-spotting powers." She was also the subject of a CNN biographical profile, broadcast internationally in 2000 as part of their "Movers" series. IMG Artists was founded in 1984 when International Management Group acquired Hamlen/Landau Management, co-directed by Charles Hamlen and Edna Landau since 1979.
