Anthony Dean Griffey to Join Music Faculty as Artist-in-Residence We are delighted to welcome internationally renowned tenor Anthony Dean Griffey to our faculty this year as artist-in-residence. His affiliation with UNC-Chapel Hill adds to the strong reputation in the Arts which Carolina is building. During the year, Mr. Griffey will be coaching and teaching master classes to our voice students and to our Kenan Scholars’ cohort, working with chamber music students and UNC Opera students, and speaking in select academic classes.
Announcing the 2009-2010 Kenan Music Scholars The Music Department, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is delighted to announce the appointment of the following four Kenan Music Scholars set to enter the university in fall 2009. They will join our eight current Kenan Music Scholars in this exciting and innovative program.

Directions to Hill Hall

  1. Exit Interstate 40 (I-40) from East or West at Exit 273 onto Highway 54
  2. Proceed on Highway 54 west toward Chapel Hill for approximately three miles to the Highway 15-501 intersection and overpass
  3. Continue under the Highway 15-501 overpass straight on Highway 54 west for approximately 1 mile to a traffic light at the top of a hill. This is the edge of the UNC-Chapel Hill campus and there is a sign denoting this on the right
  4. Make a gentle right at this light onto Country Club Road
  5. Follow Country Club Road around a curve and through the next traffic light. Country Club Road becomes Cameron Avenue at this light.
  6. Continue west on Cameron Avenue for approximately 1/2 mile through 2 stop signs
  7. Memorial Hall (an auditorium) is located directly on your left past the second stop sign. Hill Hall parking lot is the first driveway on the right just beyond the second stop sign. Turn right into this gated parking lot. Hill Hall is the second building on the right, just beyond Smith Hall. Swain Hall is located on the left across from Smith Hall. A map of the general area of Hill Hall appears below.

Note (Spring 2007):  The Hill Hall parking lot is currently under construction, with only limited parking available. Additional public parking is located at the corner of Rosemary and Columbia, a short two-block walk from Hill Hall.
